Victory in a court case in favour of the largest Russian oil refinery

TRUBOR law firm successfully represented AO Gazpromneft-ONPZ, the Russian biggest oil refinery, in a dispute with Omsk company, Tangram plus LLC, which lodged a claim on recovery of unjust enrichment in the amount of more than RUB 450 million.

The lawyers of TRUBOR collected evidence, developed a line of defense for the client, and represented the client in the first instance court which dismissed the claim in its entirety in February 2017. The case was complicated with difficult technical particulars connected with oil waste recycling. Several expert reports were provided to the court by both sides.

The judgment in this case can become precedent for the cases related to determination of the owner of the oil refinery wastes and recycling products. The decision of the courts rules out any further claims against the client.
