Due to the spread of COVID-2019, in April 2020 certain crucial regulatory acts were adopted in the Russian pharmaceutical sector. TRUBOR team prepared an overview of the key regulatory developments, related to: (i) exemptions from payment of import customs duties, introduced for certain medicines and medical devices; (ii) creation of temporary framework for authorization of on-line sales of Rx medicines (provided that the Russian Government approves the necessary sublegal acts); (iii) adoption of temporary flexibilities related to accelerated / conditional registration of medicines; (iv) suspension of recent restrictions on the turnover of certain MDs (e.g. medical masks, gloves, protective clothing).
