Alexander Trushkov is a founding partner at TRUBOR Law Firm. Before founding TRUBOR Law Firm Alexander has been resolving complex disputes and support bankruptcy proceedings for over 10 years as a senior associate of Russian law firms.

Alexander acted for both major domestic and foreign companies in litigations on insurance, financial leasing, real estate, general commercial, antimonopoly, financial markets, corporate and other matters. Alexander has represented a number of parties in matters before the Russian Supreme Commercial Court and the Russian Supreme Court.

Alexander’s experience includes full legal support of insolvency proceedings for the benefit of creditors and debtors and advising clients on real estate and general commercial matters.

Successfully accomplished projects:

• acted for a major Russian energy producing company in a precedent case on collection of over EUR 8 million of insurance recovery. Russian commercial courts awarded the full amount in the favor of the client;
• represented a fuel station operator in a series of disputes on termination of lease agreements and recovery of permanent improvements of fuel stations in the amount of more than USD 10 million. The dispute resulted in a favorable outcome for the client;
• acted for a major Russian energy producing company in a dispute on complete renovation of energy producing equipment worth more than USD 26 million. The renovation was granted to the client;
• represented interests of a large Russian oil company in a litigation initiated by Russian fuel station operator claiming more than USD 20 milliondamages caused by violation of antimonopoly regulations. The claim was withdrawn;
• acted for a Russian independent pension fund in a precedent case against management company on collection of pension reserves in the amount of more than USD 65 million. The dispute resulted in a favorable outcome for the client;
• represented a Czech engineering company in a precedent-setting dispute over collection of EUR 6,5 million of debt under a bank guarantee from a major Russian bank. The Russian Supreme commercial court awarded the full amount in the favor of the client;
• represented a Cyprus shareholder of a Russian investment company in a corporate dispute on challenging fraudulent transactions effected by a former general director of the company related to assignment of investment rights for over USD 3,5 million. The dispute resulted in a favorable outcome for the client;
• represented a major Russian manufacturer of mineral fertilizers in a dispute with the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia over challenging decisions on fine imposition of over USD 4 million;
• acted for an international aircraft carrier in more than 20 litigations in various regions of Russia with passengers on termination of tickets purchased with error fare worth USD 2 million for the carrier. All litigations were resolved in the favor of the client;
• supported and advised clients in bankruptcy proceedings of agricultural, construction, oil producing, and manufacturing companies.
